Cowberry and Apple sauce
Sour and Sweet Cowberry and Apple sauce is “must be” on the Estonian Christmas table. Important additive and partner for Black Pudding and Roast Pork.
- 2/3 part apples. peeled and cleaned, chopped in to slices
- 1/3 Cowberries
- 1/2 cup water (if needed, some sugar)
- add water in to the pot
- add cowberries and apples
- Stir and simmer over low heat while apple is ready and soft.
- Put sauce in to the very clean jar and close airthight. Open jar keep in the fridge.
