Meat Rolls

Estonian type Meat Rolls are made usually from pork. But of course you can use beef, as well.

 

 

 

 

Meat Rolls

  • Servings: 2-3
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of pork sirloin (ca 400-500 g )
  • ham or bacon
  • carrot
  • marinated cucumber
  • salt, pepper, thyme, mustard
  • oil for cooking

Directions

  1. Hammer meat slices thin
  2. Season meat with salt and pepper; spread thinly with mustard.
  3. Cut vegetables and ham in to fine stripes
  4. sprinkle meat slices evenly with bacon, carrot and pickle. Roll up
  5. slices
  6. Preheat oven
  7. Heat oil in to pan
  8. Put rolls in to hot oil, as edge in below, in oil.
  9. fry until well browned, turning occasionally.
  10. Put rolls in to oven form and add ca 100 ml hot water NB! Not to boil, but
  11. stew.
  12. Bake 180 C (convection) ca 15 minutes.
  13. Serve with sauce, smashed potato and cowberry- apple sauce.
